Oh, poor kid. Maybe that Mick Jagger daughter Madonna's paying to be Lourdes's friend will teach her a thing or two?

Lourdes is just a normal kid, though. She goes to public school and rocks out at the skating rink to her Moms music like all the other kids do.

Namo Jumping over the fact you totally ignored that you started talking about her sales when all you do is insult fans for doing the same on here,. why when you hear something you don't like do you immediately go in to bitch mode? It's very showing of you.

The reason why they are saying it will probably shift around 2 million is that every country the tour has gone to so far has seen a significant jump in sales, on top of that the 3rd single is about to be released and apart from the US (that are ageist anyway) and the UK (that have been confused to what singles are actually getting released) the singles/albums are selling well everywhere else so the new single (Turn Up The Radio) should help the sales.

Also you bring up sales but your beloved Scissor Sisters new album has tanked sales wise and got very little airplay (should they make songs that the radio will play as well?)

As for that ridiculous statement about Madonna needing to make songs the radio will play....are you kidding? The current album is full of tracks that if they were recorded by someone younger would be all over the radio and you know it. It's all to do with her age.

If you want to slam her fine, just don't be dumb about it and clutch at straws.

Your language is vague. "Significant jump in sales" could, in this case, be translated as "any sales."

Given the fact that you too seem confused about the singles, (remember when you disregarded Gal Gone Wild as "just a buzz single" anyway, so the second single was really the first single, whatever the hell that means?), I forgive you for thinking "Turn Up the Radio" will sell anywhere at all.

All I am saying is, if she were half as smart as people give her too much credit for being, Madonna WOULD have made an album that radio and the general public couldn't ignore. Cher was long forgotten by radio when she had a worldwide smash hit with "Believe," at the age of, ahem, 53.

It can be done. By smart people.

Speaking of that, when is Cher's new album coming out???

Let's get through your new lot of silly statements

"Your language is vague. "Significant jump in sales" could, in this case, be translated as "any sales."

The word 'Significant' should be your first clue dear. The jump was large, meaning the album what had fallen out of some charts re-entered top 10, in some places number 1. It also put it back on the global world chart. It's sales are past 1.6 million in a few months. That is an impressive figure in this day an age where many albums are struggling to break 1.1 million due to the recording industry crash

'Given the fact that you too seem confused about the singles, (remember when you disregarded Gal Gone Wild as "just a buzz single" anyway, so the second single was really the first single, whatever the hell that means?), I forgive you for thinking "Turn Up the Radio" will sell anywhere at all'

You keep saying this a lot, it's like if you keep saying it will make more sense to you. Give Me All Your Lovin was very very clearly a buzz single, the song was done for the Superbowl, it was a superbowl themed song with a superbowl themed video. It did fine for her and got top 10 but the record company as said by themselves saw Girl Gone Wild as the actual first single release, hence why it came out so quick after GMAYL. Both singles did big business around the world, maybe not in America (though she broke records with both for the Dance Charts) but i know you think Madonna's success can only be measured on your country.....which is daft in itself since she always been a worldwide selling artist.

GGW Saw a major jump for the album in around 28 countries, so its very easy to see the Turn Up The Radio (the song everyone seems to think she should have released first) will have a nice bump on sales around the WORLD.

'All I am saying is, if she were half as smart as people give her too much credit for being, Madonna WOULD have made an album that radio and the general public couldn't ignore. Cher was long forgotten by radio when she had a worldwide smash hit with "Believe," at the age of, ahem, 53.'

The radio also played Hung Up and 4 Minutes when she was in her 50s just like they did with Cher and Believe. Like Cher they also stopped playing anything else she did straight after. Even Madonna haters with half of a brain would tell you the reason she does not get airplay in America is because of her age. Industry experts including Billboard have been saying the exact same thing for years. America is ageist, it's obsessed with youth. If it was the case that her music was not radio worthy it would not be charting around the rest of the world and getting radio play. Again i know you think everything is about America but it's not.

Stop looking at her in terms of a US market, she will never stand a chance there anymore because she is not young anymore. Luckily the rest of the world does not think like the US and treats artists on terms of output and not age. I personally think the ageist thing for women in Music or film in the States is appalling, especially when it is an artist who did so damn much for the music scene

'It can be done. By smart people.'

Just trying to say the woman is not smart makes you look stupid.

Your negativity is fine when its actually based on facts on not tabloid headlines you have read from the states. There is a whole world out there, explore it.

Oh and nicely ignore about the disastrous Scissor Sisters album and average reviews. Should we not be screaming that they are over because they can't chart anymore? Not even here in the UK where we were the first country to embrace them.

^^^ And that's the point at which I had to stop reading you. First of all, there's no such THING as a "buzz single." Either something is a single or it is not. It was, until they called "do over!" and decided it wasn't. But they certainly pushed it as a single, and when hardly anybody took the bait they decided to rewrite the very recent history and give the single releases a reboot in an even faster amount of time than it takes to say "The Amazing Spider Man." I do laugh when you talk about all these global top tens and number 1s as if those things have any meaning in the post recording industry crash you talk about on the other hand.

Oh Namo, my little bitter Namo

I only referred to it as a 'buzz' single because that's what you keep calling it. The single was a single for the Superbowl, like Masterpiece was a single for the film or Hey You was a single for Live Earth etc. I hope that clears that up for you dear

'I do laugh when you talk about all these global top tens and number 1s as if those things have any meaning in the post recording industry crash you talk about on the other hand'

Who said they don't count because of the recording industry crash, of course they still count, it's idiotic to think they don't. The music industry dying just means albums and singles sell way less than they used too.

Good way of avoiding the rest of the post though. I love how on nearly ever post you pick out the bits you think you can argue and ignore the bits that you know you are proved wrong on. At least i can admit Madonna has faults, you however, your negativity is plain and simple creepy, creepy, creepy.

A single is a single is a single. Masterpiece was released and it was a single. The awful Superbowl song was released and it was a single. It was a single song put out for distribution which makes it...wait for it...a single. I don't understand why it's so hard to accept that. It's like saying the new Spider-Man isn't a remake because it's just not. It carries no logic.

Nobody is saying it was not a single, of course it was a single, it was released (by the way Masterpiece was not released as a single), i am saying it was not intended as the lead single of the album, that's what her label said. Girl Gone Wild was always intended as the lead single. And it's Namo who keeps using the term 'Buzz Single', he's the only person i have ever heard use that term.

So, if Girls Just Wanna Have Fun 2 was the Lead Single, was Give Me All Your Loving 2 a Featured Single or a Supporting Single?

Sorry, song, I have never used the word "buzz single" and YOU are the person who introduced it to these boards. I made fun of it immediately and will continue to for as long as you use it.

"i am saying it was not intended as the lead single of the album, that's what her label said."

Can anybody parse that sentence for me?
