I saw CZJ in "Little Night Music" and thought she was wonderful.

Would love to see a revival of "Me & My Girl."  Saw the 2018 City Center revival of it.  Rob McClure would make a wonderful Bill Snibson.

I’m surprised there hasn't been a big fund raiser/benefit reading of the original play, Auntie Mame, with a star-studded cast. The casting possibilities are endless, and it would raise a lot of money.

Either fortunately or unfortunately Senator Joe will likely never be revived.

That’s so funny that Charles Busch played Mame. I was thinking Jinkx Monsoon would be great with Patti Lupone as Vera and Elizabeth Ashley as Mother Burnside.

Damn Yankees unless the Yankees become the incredibly successful team they once or unless there's an overhaul of the libretto with more infusion of magic in the plot.   And then there's the sexism of Lola.

The Pajama Game- a book that almost makes Damn Yankees look unconventional.  The score is superior to Damn Yankees, but how does one relate to a 71/2 cent raise.  It's more than a little dated in its relationships between Sid and Babe.

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas-- it was fun and innocent in its time.  But what do you with The Aggie number and those lyrics...and the satire seems tame by today's standards.

Milk and Honey--it's a truly underrated score but the Borsch Belt humor of the widows is not very funny and the championing of Israel, well, it's a little difficult to imagine right now.  As one of the better songs in the show declares...There's No Reason in the World.

Silk Stockings- despite some nice color Porter numbers, the book isn't particularly witty and those lovable Russian communist characters!!!  Amazing that this was successful in its day.   See "Ninotchika" instead.

The CSC did such a good job with "I Can Get It For You Wholesale"...they should look into What Makes Sammy Run, Raisin and Angel...and, perhaps, "Minnie's Boys" and "Grind"

An erratic onstage performance and missed perfs.

Maybe she'd be fine in a play, but another musical seems out of her league, especially one that requires a LOT more singing.
"

Sounds like you’re rewriting history. I followed that revival very closely and CZJ hardly ever missed performances outside of her two vacations. She and Lansbury each had two one week vacations. Also, as many others can attest to, her performance in the theater was nothing like the Tony performance.

For some reason I feel like we will never see a revival of Sister Act…and that’s me having no real opinion on the show besides loving Raise You Voice, Life I Never Led and Fabulous Baby.

I only see HERE WE ARE on Broadway 75 years after the death of David Ives when a new composer writes additional songs for Act 2 and a proper finale.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

Mean Girls

King Kong

Tarzan

Amélie

Tuck Everlasting

War Paint (maybe if two divas could drum up the public interest enough???)

Tootsie

Seussical

Once Upon a One More Time

Jean Smart as Mame would be something that I could see work with with some book changes.

Get the right star in..............and audiences will come.

Not coming back: The Woman in White. Pricilla Queen of the Desert. Aspects of Love. Starmites :(

Keep an eye out for the Australian production with 2 powerhouse performers[not black]

One who will blow the roof off and Rhonda Burchmore 6ft and all legs. No other casting announced.

I disliked the London production. I know the film but the stage gangsters were terrible.

If/then I can’t see it ever being revived. But realistically (and I’ve never really looked) - are only a small selection of shows revived in a season? The kind of shows mentioned here at least are remembered. There are so many shows that close very quickly and will never be talked about or revived again.

"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022) "Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009) "Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000

I didn’t see CZJ in ALNM but in her performance on the Tony Awards she seemed unhinged. Was it different in the show? (I finally saw that production with Bernadette who sings Sondheim like almost no one else and whose Send in the Clowns brought tears to my eyes in what was otherwise a dull and drab production.)

Addams family is one of the most produced musicals in America.  A number one in regional and schools and still touring. I'd say it has a very very good chance of being revived as a large number of Americans are viewing and learning about the show today. It's less then successful broadway premiere might still seem like a flop but it has gone on to have a very lucrative and successful life making future producers likely to see the commercial viability of a new reimagined production.

Hey, Zelda! said: "Its quality notwithstanding, I can imagine thethorny legal issues surrounding Paradise Squarewould affect its chances at a revival, to say nothing of licensing."

In 10 years time all rights to the show will pass to the authors at which point any producer can come in and revive the show.

Is there a chance for an 'Evil Dead: The Musical' revival? Might be one of those shows, but I wanna see people flip their sh*t for the stupidity of it.

Probably my second favorite musical of this century, after The Producers (but only with Lane / Broderick).  Were it ever to be revived (no time soon), non-profit would probably be the way to go.

It only played off-Broadway.  Also had a long run in Las Vegas.  It usually does well for regional theatres that put it on since the movies have a built-in fan base.

afraid it's wrapped up in too much legally for it to ever be possible. I'd be shocked if it did make it to London.
