I didn't know Julian Ovenden had joined the cast, as Jeremy Jordan and Jennifer Hudson seem to be getting all the newbie buzz. I loved him in DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY; so much that I bought the cast recording of Marguerite just to more of him to listen to on my iPod.

Other sources are using the different track listing than the one on iTunes and the original post...
Well, I guess now we know that Bernadette's character will be playing Marilyn's mother.
I know nothing about the upcoming season, but I don't think that's a given she'll be playing Marilyn's mother. There are any number of contexts in the (tv) show that she could be singing those songs. It's not like Julia and Tom are in the show, either.
According to the track listing on Amazon, it is the Uma version.
I am a little disappointed that they are just plugging in the previously recorded tracks as though they existed as such within the show Bombshell. We've only ever heard Let Me Be Your Star as a duet but in the world of the show and the show within the show it's a solo. I'd like to hear what that would sound like. I already own 10 out of the 22 tracks. I don't want to have to buy them again because it will be cheaper to buy the entire album than it will be to purchase the remaining 12 tracks one at a time.
Yay for bonus discs! I preferred Hilty's version of "Never Give All the Heart" to McPhee's. And really looking forward to hearing Christine Ebersole singing "Secondhand White Baby Grand." It's already a lovely song, so to hear her do it will be fantastic.
I wish they would record both McPhee and Hilty versions of some of those songs, as I actually enjoyed the different vocal takes on them. I really enjoyed McPhee's take on "I Never Met A Wolf Who Didn't Love to Howl" from the Season 1 Finale, and also am interested in hearing her sing "Secondhand White Baby Grand."
I'm interested to see the story of the show as well.
Can't wait for the clips when they are released. I also found interesting that NBC lists the songs how they would be in the show; I wonder if this is how the show would actually be [or just the season 2 version of bombshell]
