Kathie Lee desperate? Scandalous in trouble?

I think the subject is fascinating and would love to see the show but would rather get an unscheduled root canal by a dental student than sit through anything by Kathie Lee.
No good can possibly come from using this vast wasteland of error and deliberate deceit. You should get off of it and warn others away. You should make sure your children and grandchildren know what a corrupt and morally bankrupt institution it truly is.

"I think it's insane they didn't open this one out-of-town first."

It has already had several regional productions. The first was just outside of the city in White Plains back in 2005. Signature Theatre in Arlington produced it in 2007 and it ran last fall at the 5th Avenue in Seattle.

At least Kathie Lee is not bragging on how brilliant Cody is and totally ignoring the daughter whose name nobody can remember.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I saw its first incarnation in White Plains back in 2005 and I quite liked it. Carolee was truly incredible. I understand it didn't get such great reviews in its last run in Seattle, so I am interested to see what they changed. Obviously, this is going to be a hard sell, and in such a huge barn as the Neil Simon, it will provide even more of a challenge.

Still, I am looking forward to hearing Carolee belt to the rafters on Saturday night.

I saw book of Mormon two weeks before opening for $39.
I had a great orchestra seat.
If you knew about this.. would you say Book of Mormon is in trouble?
Of course not.
All shows need time to find their audience.

Give it a rest you snarlies.

I love how the people are claiming it is all Kathie Lee all the time in this musical. People need to realize David Pomeranz and David Friedman had a big hand in this show too.

I saw some clips and thought it looked pretty good. I hope that people will give it a chance even if KLG is a part of it.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

David Friedman is a hell of a songwriter.
You are correct. It is not just about Kathy Lee Born Again Gifford.

Continues to be mentioned daily on The Today Show- yesterday day KLG said Saturdays performance may "run a little long"

I saw her version of "It's a Wonderful Life" and thought it was fine. Better than the other musicalization of that story I saw. Who knows why shows don't capture the public emagination and some do...

Recently she and Hoda were interviewing someone on their show -- was it Ed Asner, maybe? Anyway the guest mentioned that Kathie Lee had a show nearby about to open, and she cut him right off with "we're here to talk about your show, not mine" and moved right on. She got a lot of points from me for doing that.

Hasn't everything about Kathie Lee always been desperate?
