I appreciate these young men's words but what we really need is action. If you want to be supportive of the gay community, we want nude photos and plenty of them.
"Ayanbadejo rejected the remarks and said he plans to continue supporting the same-sex marriage campaign — saying that he's offered Gov. Martin O'Malley any fundraising help he needs for the issue.
A longtime supporter of gay rights, he said the attitude on the topic has shifted significantly within the NFL. His advocacy used to lead to "snickers in the locker room" and a jokes that he is gay (he is not).
Not anymore. He said at least 10 teammates have offered support in recent days. The switch in attitude, he said, "has happened faster than I ever thought it would happen.""
He's re-done his letter without profanity, to make it suitable for kids to read. The man has a way with words! He changed "lustful****monster" to "FROLICKING OSTRICH" for example. I'm not sure what DISAPPOINTED LEMUR FACE WITH SOLITARY TEAR TRICKLING DOWN TO CHIN started out as but I like this guy EVEN MORE. you also come across as a BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE SPARKLEPONY.
One of the biggest offseason moves in the NFL was a billion-dollar deal that affected every franchise. The league switched to Nike as its uniform supplier after 10 years with Reebok, and the new line made its debut as the regular season got underway.
"Designed and engineered from the inside out, the new uniform focuses on creating a system where the baselayer, padding, jersey and pant work in concert," Nike notes in its press release.
Of course, advances in technology come with unintended consequences or unfortunate byproducts -- or both, if you happened to be watching the Lions-Rams game Sunday. Check out the multi-fabric concept in jarring reality, courtesy of Detroit left tackle Jeff Backus.
Perhaps another incentive for you Football newbies to check it out
AND Mr. Kluwe has challenged Rep. Franson (R/MN) to a debate.
Ms.--although I imagine she prefers "Mrs."--Franson is a leading thinker who has said that:
"My concerns are that our children in our schools could be taught some liberal agendas because of the marriage amendment. Because in the schools they may be taught...that [same-sex marriage] is normal behavior. I personally do not believe it is."
Maybe we just turn this thread into an appreciation of Dudes who are secure enough in their own heterosexuality that they are able to think about issues related to homosexuality without having a reflexive, paranoid, defensive/aggressive response.
