because to list everything would be to take too much space in the programme.

"because to list everything would be to take too much space in the programme."

An educated guess? Or am I right in thinking you're connected to Tracie?

Presumably you're acquainted with Juggles as well.

"I'm also curious as to why Tracie does not mention in her bio that she played Mary Flynn in the European professional premiere of Merrily We Roll Along back in 1984?! Surely that would have helped build up her street cred in an entertainment capital where she is unknown."

How would that credit provide her with "street cred?" I'm sure many in the audience don't even know what Merrily is, and if they do, they wouldn't care if she had been in it or not.

And how would such "street cred" impact anyone's assessment of her performance in this play?

"who are you connected with PJ?"

I can honestly say that I've never met him in my life and my only connection with him is via this website. But I do read and understand his posts.

"I research before commenting."

You may research but your intellectually insufficient comments suggest you only have a limited understanding.

"Anyone searching could find the resume"

I don't need to search - I saw her in it. Suggesting I do need to search confirms that you didn't understand the context of my comment.

I understand fully. You were curious as to why Merrily wasn't listed and I gave you what I thought to be a reasonably educated answer.

I've no need to shoot you - you've shot yourself in the foot.

Well, I'm certainly not the mother of the star.

Like SOME people...

I liked the set, particularly the way it transformed into the Talk of the Town. Though I thought it odd toward the end when the couch remained onstage although we were supposedly at the nightclub.

The costumes were spot on. It was really kind of exciting to see "Judy" in the famous sequined pantsuit.

I thought Michael Cumpsty's work was gorgeous--alternately wry and heartbreaking.

I was in awe of Tracie Bennett's stamina. I found her vocally most compelling (and persuasive as Judy) when she began songs a cappella.

## Though I thought it odd toward the end when the couch remained onstage although we were supposedly at the nightclub.###

But the audience should use their imagination. For instance, Merrily We Roll Along has virtually no set at all. We have to imagine they're in college/in an office/in an audition room/condominion [can't spell that] etc; and that works, well, it did for me.
Similar to Mac and Mable, no scenery to speak of but fab nevertheless.

With fear of being jumped on, I whisper my opinion from the a dark corner. . .
I thought Tracie Bennetts performance in this show was spellbinding. Her sheer energy 8 times a week is jaw-dropping I have not seen anything like it in quite a while. I cannot comment on the rest of the Broadway cast as I caught the show in London and I believe the script has taken some tweeking since then.
Hopefuly my comment is not seen as an intrusion on this thread

No need to whisper, Chickie. It's a "love thread," so love away!

At any rate most--but clearly not all--posters on this site enjoy hearing differing opinions.

I have only just found this messageboard so I'm a newbie. I like to read everyone opinions but I know from other sites that sometimes if there's a disagreement going on anyone posting anything new can get jumped on. I shall speak a little louder but remain in the corner for now
