This is the nerd in me but, I CAN'T WAIT!! Good or bad, it doesn't matter.

I am not a fan of Evan Rachel Wood's "acting", and truly wonder if she can vocally handle the 8 shows a week schedule. "FlyingMonkey1223 is a sad, chubby guy who appears to be desperate for attention any way he can get it. Every once in a while I feel bad that he thinks he has to resort to racism, homophobia, and sociopathy to get people to notice him, but then I remember that he's just a bad, bad person." - scott68

Again, gotta say. I'm skeptical of the show...but Alan Cumming is PERFECT casting for this role.

Alan Cumming as the villian? This has definitely got my attention! Although, I'm most interested in finding out who will play Peter Parker and Harry.

BWW says that previews are pushed back to 2/25

Previews were indeed pushed back and they still haven't announced an opening night. I actually think I'm going to wait to buy tickets when previews have actually started since I have the feeling they might push previews back again as well. I must say that I'm at least intrigued. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

I'm intrigued, but neither are great singers, so that doesn't bode well for the score.

Considering there are three villains and they're retelling the whole origin story (which is very much Peter's personal journey), I wouldn't be surprised if both of these characters only get a song or two each.

And I thought Spider-Man 3 was over-stuffed...

Wood has been attached to this project from the get-go so I imagine that Bono has written Mary Jane's numbers around Wood's limitations as well as her talents. I'd be more concerned about how she handles herself on stage but she's doing (or did) ROMEO & JULIET and I imagine she has previous stage experience. I assume the reference is "just because attached performers aren't much cop at singing doesn't mean the composers are going to turn in crappy tunes". "He had a weatherbeaten face and wore a T-shirt advertising canned Norwegian fish-balls."

I think there are a lot more then three villians in this show. There are some new ones added which is basically Julie peeing on the Spiderman material.
