with those numbers and likely terrible reviews, Scandalous might close after opening night. Chaplin ain't doing much better.

A good little increase for "Chicago", after the previous week. Things seem to be looking dire for "Scandalous". from RC in Austin, Texas... One year "more" for me on 11-11-12.

A poor Broadway week, with the audience down for such shows as The Lion King and Wicked, probably everything to do with the after affects of Sandy, with parts of the subway closed and the elections.

It'll pick up this week and especially next week with Thanksgiving, I think some shows allowed tickets which were affected by cancellation due to Hurricane Sandy to be valid for last week but I don't know if that would had an impact on the gross or attendance. Weird that Mamma Mia! was down despite playing a full 8 show week.

And no doubt the Nor'easter affected grosses last week.

I don't see how SCANDALOUS will survive a week beyond its opening. I am relatively sure it will be universally panned, so opening won't help it.
Unless Kathie Lee just puts up the money to keep it up til January. Which would be kind of pathetic to me, but it's her money.
Everyone seems to be picking on the book and score, which definitely are atrocious. But there is also some really cringe-worthy staging, and that choreographer should never work again after this... It was some really embarrassing choreography. I actually felt really bad for the actors.
Even Carolee wasn't good, in my opinion..... Her voice is painful at the level the sound department thinks it needs to be amplified, and I really kept hoping she'd stop singing. She's working her ass off, and showing us that she's working her ass off, which makes it an annoying performance

I just don't see why a casual theatre-goer or tourist would choose to see Scandalous over other shows. Aimee Semple McPherson is nowhere near a household name so I'm not sure to whom this is supposed to appeal.
