1) 2012 Creative Arts Emmy Award Winners Announced - 2012 Tony Awards, SMASH, MEMPHIS & More!

Amongst the highlights for theatre fans, the 65th Annual Tony Awards picked up three Emmys - for Outstanding Special Class Program, Art Direction and Outstanding Song (It's Not Just for Gays Anymore' - written by Adam Schlesinger & David Javerbaum and performed by Neil Patrick Harris). Smash choreographer Josua Bergasse picked up an award for Outstanding Choreography and the Kennedy Center Honors was named Outstanding Variety Special. (more...)

3) Breaking News: AMERICAN IDOL Judges Announced - Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson, Nicki Minaj & Keith Urban

When AMERICAN IDOL’s 12th season debuts in January 2013, superstar judge Mariah Carey – the best-selling female recording artist of all time – and returning judge Randy Jackson, a Grammy Award-winning producer whose expertise and beloved persona have been instrumental in discovering IDOL talent from the beginning, will be joined by two new judges: quadruple-platinum singer, songwriter, rapper and fashion icon Nicki Minaj; and Keith Urban, a four-time Grammy Award winner who has sold more than 15 million albums. 8) Photo Coverage: THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA Cast Sings 'Carols For A Cure'

CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA was already hard a work this week recording their track for the album. 9) Photo Blast From The Past : Peter Firth

Today, we're featuring Peter Firth circa 1981. Following the National Theatre's production of Peter Shaffer's Equus at the Old Vic in 1973, Firth appeared on Broadway as Alan Strang in 1974. The performance earned him a Tony nomination. Firth also starred in the 1977 film adaptation of Equus, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award. He then went on to play Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the original Broadway production of another Shaffer play, Amadeus, in 1980, all before this photo was taken. A successful film and television actor, Firth is now best known for his role as Sir Harry Pearce in the BBC One show "Spooks"; he is the only actor to have starred in every episode of the show's 10 seasons. 12) STAGE TUBE: Daniel Radcliffe Chats Live with The Trevor Project!

Daniel Radcliffe participated in a live online discussion to raise awareness about preventing suicide through The Trevor Project’s “Talk to Me” campaign today, September 16th, beginning at 2 p.m. EST. This live conversation on Google+ Hangout featured questions submitted by young people online and posed by members of The Trevor Project’s Youth Advisory Council. The event was moderated by Shira Lazar of the Emmy-nominated live, online interactive show, "What's Trending with Shira Lazar," and was broadcast through TrevorTalkToMe.org and on The Trevor Project’s YouTube and Google+ pages.
