According to the BBC News, stage and screen actor Simon Ward died on July 20, 2012, after a long illness. He was 70. As reported by the BBC, "a statement released by his agent said he passed away peacefully with his wife Alexandra and daughters at his bedside." (more...)

A $5,000 grant from the Arts and Education Council’s Maritz Arts and Education Fund for Teachers to McCluer High School to fund a student production of the musical Dreamgirls has led to $156,000 in performing arts scholarships for the Dreamgirls cast and crew.
