Charm City Fringe to Host Festival Launch Party, New Events This November

Charm City Fringe is launching its fifth annual festival of new and emerging independent theatre Nov. 3 to 13 at venues across Hampden and Station North.

The festival opens with special events Nov. 3 and 4. The launch party will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at Joe Squared in Station North, featuring preview performances from a selection of festival artists, lively music by Tool Shed, refreshments courtesy of Joe Squared, and more.

Additional show previews and the opening production of the festival will be Friday, Nov. 4. Touring fringe veterans 2 Lorens will give a performance at 9 p.m. Friday at Mercury Theatre in Station North. The performance will be preceded by exclusive festival previews and a reception with refreshments. Tickets for both events are available online at charmcityfringe.ticketleap.com and at the door.

The fifth anniversary Charm City Fringe features a variety of acts-from musical to dance and Shakespeare to avant garde. A full schedule of productions will be released online Oct. 4.

For more information, visit www.charmcityfringe.com/artists. Tickets are $10 with the one-time purchase of a $5 festival button, available online or at the door. Multi-show and all-access passes are available from $25 to $150. Online box office sales begin Oct. 3.

Productions include artists from across the country, with nightly after-parties at the Fringe After Dark series, featuring some of the regions most exciting musicians and comedians.

Charm City Fringe was founded in 2012 by Zachary Michel and Michael Brush to celebrate and grow Baltimore's intimate theatre community.
