Lauren Gunderson's THE REVOLUTIONISTS at Gulfshore Playhouse tells the story of Olympe de Gouges, a woman playwright during the French Revolution, along with three other strong women living in France during the Reign of Terror: Marie Antoinette, Charlotte Corday, and Marianne Angelle.

As we welcome in 2019 in Southwest Florida, we also welcome in a very full theatre season! From many classic, much-loved Broadway shows to some newer, unique breakout productions, this season has something for everyone. SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre brings classic disco flair to the Southwest Florida stage through many fun, well-known songs, lots of dancing, and fittingly flashy costumes.

TENDERLY: THE ROSEMARY CLOONEY MUSICAL at Florida Repertory Theatre tells the beautifully bittersweet story of Rosemary Clooney through a variety of flashbacks, songs, and therapy sessions.

THE NUTCRACKER at Broadway Palm holds Christmas joy for all ages in a fun, musical story based on the traditional tale everyone knows and loves. 

Florida Repertory Theatre's production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE TALE OF EBENEZER SCROOGE puts a fresh spin on a classic, much-loved Christmas tale. This world premiere, adapted from the Charles Dickens classic by Mark Shanahan, tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge in a new, captivating way.

WINTER WONDERETTES at Broadway Palm's Off Broadway Palm Theatre is a lighthearted, festive musical featuring some of your favorite holiday songs and a simple but entertaining storyline about the entertainers (the Marvelous Wonderettes) at Harper's Hardware Holiday Happening.

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM at Gulfshore Playhouse brings a fresh twist to a beloved musical comedy. Gulfshore Playhouse brought this show to life by gender-swapping several of the actors with their characters in the show, and they also had a smaller cast than what is typical for FORUM, which resulted in an even funnier production.

Broadway Palm's musical production of ELF brings to life an iconic Christmas story that many people know and love in a very fun and charismatic way. This show has all the aspects from the story of ELF that you could ever want in a musical version, and so much more.

Ghostbird Theatre Company's latest show, BOXES ARE FOR WHAT WE KEEP by Barry Cavin, tells the tale of two fish through three short plays. Though these three plays all tell the same story in some capacity, the audience's perspective shifts through each one, encouraging you to question your own 'boxes' and what you hold onto. Ghostbird's productions are always incredibly intricate and layered, and this show was no different.

DAMASCUS at Florida Repertory Theatre, directed by V Craig Heidenreich, brings a fresh and exciting piece of theatre to Fort Myers. This psychological thriller, chosen at Florida Rep's 2017 PlayLab festival, gives audiences a new perspective on how they view other people.

Florida Repertory Theatre's production of BECOMING DR. RUTH by Mark St. Germain, directed by Florida Rep ensemble member Chris Clavelli, tells the story of Dr. Ruth K. Westheimer.

Florida Repertory Theatre's production of STEEL MAGNOLIAS, directed by Jason Parrish, kicks off their first Historic Arcade Theatre show of the 2018-2019 season with a hilarious, clever, and bittersweet bang.

42ND STREET at Broadway Palm brought the feeling of old New York City to Fort Myers through a spectacular display of incredible dancing, singing, and a beautiful, classic story about being bold and taking a chance.
