"The Great American Bake Sale" was also great for the health and well being of many needy New Yorkers. Victoria Hall at Grand Central Station was crowded with people anxious to purchase baked goods to support the Food Bank for New York City and Share our Strengths, No Kid Hungry. The event was held on Wednesday, May 1st from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Sandra Lee lent her voice to the cause and so did many other well known celebs including Emeril Lagasse, Martha Stewart, Mario Batali, and Bobby Flay. Around 5:00pm, Ty Pennington was on hand to encourage the throng commuters rushing by to stop and buy a cookie for the important cause.

Bark in the Park by The New York Theatre Ballet did just that with their debut performance at El Museo Del Barrio at 1230 Fifth Avenue in New York City on Tuesday, February 5th. Young and old alike were fascinated as NYTB dancers performed the story of the Tucker family who lose their beloved family dog, Mr. Benjamin, in Central Park.
