Born in Venezuela and raised in Texas, Fabiola Caraballo Quijada is starring as Juliet in the National Tour of the hit Broadway musical, & JULIET. I had the chance to chat with the three-time Jimmy Award Nominee & Winner of the 2025 Jimmy Award for Best Performance by an Actress just prior to & JULIET landing in Montreal, where it will run at Salle Wilfred-Pelletier, Place des Arts, 175 Rue Sainte-Catherine O, Montréal, QC H2X 1Y9 from March 17 – March 22.

Lauren Mariasoosay is currently starring as Eliza Hamilton in the National Tour of Hamilton,  running August 19 - September 7, 2025 at Salle Wilfred-Pelletier, Place des Arts, Montreal.

Born and raised on the West Island of Montreal, Trevor Barrette is a queer theatre-maker, performer, stage manager and teacher. I had the opportunity to chat with Barrette just prior to the World Premiere of MAX AND AARON WRITE A MUSICAL, which he has written and is directing. MAX AND AARON WRITE A MUSICAL will take it's first bow on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at The Segal Centre for Performing Arts.

MEAN GIRLS features a book by nine-time Emmy Award® winner Tina Fey, based on her screenplay for the film; music by three-time Emmy Award® winner Jeff Richmond; lyrics by two-time Tony Award® nominee Nell Benjamin; and original direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award® winner Casey Nicholaw.

Jayna Elise has been performing since the age of 4. She has been on stages with Queen Latifah, Tyler Perry and many more. When she was 14 years old, she appeared on America's Got Talent and followed that up with two seasons on American Idol. In addition to her performance career, she is a songwriter, writing for hit Kpop groups like Red Velvet and NMIXX. I had the chance to chat with Elise just prior to TINA: THE TINA TURNER MUSICAL, in which she stars as Tina Turner, landing in Montreal. She's simply the best!

Chase Wolfe was born in Texas and raised in South Carolina. He performed often as a child, but heeded his parents’ wishes and double-majored in Chinese and Chemistry. After two years working in the home fragrance industry, he took a giant leap of faith to make the arts his career. He is currently playing Edward Lewis, the role made famous by Richard Gere, in PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL, which lands in Montreal’s Salle Wilfred Pelletier on March 5 and runs through March 10.

Queer Magique presents its second cabaret, Queer Broadway! Featuring musical theatre, drag, and burlesque performances, Queer Broadway will take place October 12th and 13th, 2023 at 7:30 pm at Café Cléopâtre.

Brittney Johnson is an accomplished and commanding performer. She made her Broadway debut in MOTOWN THE MUSICAL understudying the character (based on) Diana Ross. She quickly followed that with LES MISERABLES, a production in which she performed one character at a matinee and the other that same evening! Most recently she made Broadway History by becoming the first Black Woman and the first woman of colour to play the title role of 'Glinda', in WICKED on Broadway. I had the distinct pleasure to chat with Johnson about her career as she gears up to perform in Montreal in a special concert version of MAD HATTER THE MUSICAL, where she is portraying 'The Queen of Hearts'.

Disney fans young and old will be thrilled to learn that the Montreal premiere of the hit Broadway musical Aladdin, opens tomorrow Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Salle Wilfred Pelletier, Place des Arts. Based on the Academy Award®-winning 1992 animated feature, this lavish production is running through April 2, 2023.

Nadia Verrucci is a staple of the Montreal theatre scene. She has worked as an actor, singer, director, choreographer, voiceover artist, particularly as Juno in Assassins Creed which makes her a popular guest at Comic Cons and pop culture events, and Artistic Director. I had the chance to chat with her as she prepares to co-star in Steve Galluccio’s AT THE BEGINNING OF TIME at the Centaur Theatre.

I had the opportunity to chat with Trevor as the new musical he has written, ONE DAY, has its workshop presentation this Saturday, January 21, 2023 at The Segal Centre for Performing Arts - Studio.

Marika Aubrey was born and raised in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. She emigrated to the US six years ago and currently resides in New York City. She is currently on tour with COME FROM AWAY, portraying Captain Beverly Bass. I had the chance to chat with her about her life and career both on and off the stage.

Kiki Dranias burst onto the Montreal theatre scene in 2019 with her theatrical work, GOING UP, which went on to receive seven nominations at the 2020 Montreal English Theatre Awards (METAs), winning three for Outstanding New Text, Outstanding Emerging Playwright & Producer and Outstanding Independent Production. Her follow-up play, WHERE IS ANTON, which she also directed, was performed live at the Montreal Fringe Festival in June 2021, with six sold-out performances. Dranias' new play, THE LOVE TRIAL, a play she wrote and is producing with full support from Canada Council for the Arts, runs December 2 - 11, 2021 at the Masonic Temple Hall in Montreal.

The English-language premiere of the Quebecois hit MOB, written by French TV and film star, Catherine-Anne Toupin opens March 6, 2020 at Centaur Theatre. La meute, the original French production, first played at Théâtre La Licorne in January 2018, to immediate critical and box office success - so much so that it was remounted that summer and again at La Licorne this past autumn. Ms. Toupin, adored by numerous fans for her roles in the highly successful TV series Boomerang and Unité 9, continues to play the demanding and complex role of Sophie in the French productions. Currently in previews, MOB opens March 6 and runs through March 29 at Centaur Theatre, 453 St Francois Xavier St, Montreal.

Disney On Ice returns to Montreal to present ROAD TRIP ADVENTURES, the most participatory and innovative production in ice show history, from March 4-8, 2020 at Place Laval. Disney On Ice's newest installment will allow families to participate in an immersive road trip to create a multi-generational experience with stories brought to life through inventive, theatrical performances.

Jeff Parry was raised in Ottawa, ON. His love of music began when he was 9 years old when he fell in love with The Beatles. He has always had a passion for. music, so after University, he moved out west to try to raise money to open a record store in Ottawa. He wound up staying in Alberta and rather than open a record store, in 1978, he started a concert promotion business, producing tribute shows. That evolved into becoming an agent and ultimately, a theatrical producer. I had the chance to speak with Parry on the eve of the Montreal run of the award winning musical, WE WILL ROCK YOU, a jukebox musical based on the songs of British rock band Queen with a book by Ben Elton, which lands in Montreal on February 10.
