Directed by Bell Shakespeare Artistic Director Peter Evans, Shakespeare's seminal revenge tragedy is reimagined for contemporary audiences, transporting them to a wintery Denmark in the 1960s. Inside the glamorous court, a family is torn apart by murder and betrayal. Outside, a country is threatened by Norway. And at the centre of this struggle is a young man's grief for a murdered father.
Antipodes Theatre Company has announced the final entry in their 2020 Ricochet Reading Series, Theresa Borg’s Dame & Commander. The virtual reading will be streamed live to the ATC Facebook Page on Monday 7th December at 7:00pm and remain available for one week.
Nadine Garner (The Blake Mysteries) stars alongside Gig Clarke (The Code), Nicholas Denton (Wild), Paul Goddard (Pulse), Yalin Ozucelik (Othello) and Dan Spielman (Macbeth) in the Australian premiere of Anna Ziegler's Photograph 51, a delicate exploration of sacrifice in the pursuit of science, love and a place in history.
Melbourne Theatre Company's most ambitious production to date, Shakespeare in Love, will have its Australian premiere on Friday 19 July at Arts Centre Melbourne, Playhouse, before going on to play at Canberra Theatre Centre from 22-31 August.
