Morning Melodies returns on Wednesday 25 July at 10.30am with Australia's newest leading lady Lucy Maunder (The Threepenny Opera, Doctor Zhivago, A Little Night Music), performing the hits and gems of one of the gifted songwriters of the 20th century - Irving Berlin.

Songs in the Key of Black is a show written by Nicholas Christo, especially for the talents of Lucy Maunder and will transport you to the shadowy alleys and darkest dive saloons of Old New York City.

Come to a Honky Tonk Palace of broken dreams and melodic memories featuring a dazzling selection of popular songs including Blue Skies, Alexander's Ragtime Band, Cheek To Cheek, Putting on the Ritz, What'll I Do?, How Deep Is The Ocean? and I Love a Piano, as well as unearthing some of Irving Berlin's incredible back catalogue, with the stunning Lucy Maunder as your guide.

Lucy Maunder has worked extensively in the Australian and international musical theatre, cabaret, film, and theatre industries since graduating from The Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (BA Music Theatre) in 2006. Throughout 2011 Lucy was thrilled to perform the leading role of Lara in the critically acclaimed World Premiere production of Doctor Zhivago opposite Anthony Warlow.
