Direct from Las Vegas, this internationally acclaimed production takes audiences on an electrifying journey through the songbooks of some of music's legendary singers with world-renowned tribute artists, a live band, talented singers and dancers, lavish multimedia theatrical sets and authentic costumes.
The Legends in Concert tribute artists will sing with pitch-perfect live vocals on The Palms at Crown stage in Melbourne as they portray Prince, Elvis Presley, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Adele and, for the first time, Olivia Newton-John. This will be their only Australian performance.
Acclaimed American singer Kelly Smith is performing as Olivia Newton-John and was chosen by the former Melburnian herself in a worldwide "You're the One That I Want" contest held last year. Smith joins the Legends in Concert cast as the first tribute artist to portray Newton-John.
Aspiring performers were encouraged to submit a video of themselves singing a classic Newton-John song from any era and be dressed as the Grammy award-winning singer.
Smith, who had previously performed in Legends in Concert's productions as a tribute to icon Cher, was one of two contest winners and she will join the cast in Melbourne at The Palms at Crown following rehearsals at Legends in Concert's headquarters in Las Vegas which Newton John will participate in.
Legends in Concert made its Las Vegas debut in 1983 as an initial six-week engagement at Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino. It is the longest-running show in Las Vegas' history with its flagship show at the historic Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel and Casino.
