Boundless Exposed Series Runs 5/18-5/20, Holds Staged Readings Of Svich & Solis

Boundless Theatre Company is pleased to announce BOUNDLESS EXPOSED, a series of exciting events and gatherings of artists for the month of May. From May 18th through the 20th, Boundless will present a series of staged readings of works by acclaimed playwrights Caridad Svich and Octavio Solis...and on the third day...Our first Bi-annual Designers Lab and special fundraiser.

On Monday, May 18th, Boundless presents a Staged reading of PROSPECT by Octavio Solis, directed by Tlaloc Rivas. A fierce and muscular early work from Octavio Solis you won't want to miss. Texas. 1980's. Scout spends a night in hell as Liza, a beautiful stranger, and her boyfriend, Vince, pick him up in a Dallas bar and take him home to continue partying. Complications arise when Winter, a dealer who suspects him of muscling in on his turf, crashes the party with his weird and deadly assistant Red. This is the play's first reading in New York and includes an audacious cast.

Following on Tuesday, May 19th, we also present a captivating staged reading of Lucinda Caval by renowned playwright & songwriter, Caridad Svich, directed by Alfredo Galván. This text was developed at New Dramatists and Primary Stages in New York City, and at Kitchen Dog Theater's New Works Festival in Dallas, Texas. It was a recipient of New Dramatists' 2007 Whitfield Cook Prize for New Writing, and selected a finalist for the 2007 National Latino Playwriting Award.

As a closing event and Fundraiser on Wednesday, May 20th, Boundless presents The Designer's LAB an engaging new workshop of 7 Days by Kisha Tikina Burgos, designed and directed by Production Designers from the Boundless team. Reception to follow Q & A with members.

The members of the production team for 7 Days have all previously designed for Boundless and have numerous New York and International theater credits. These include set designer Jorge Dieppa, costume designer Sarita Fellows, and lighting designer Maria Cristina Fuste. Boundless Theatre is honored to have Tamilla Woodard as Dramaturg for this special project.

Boundless Theater Company is a multi-ethnic, multilingual, designer-led organization committed to creating new productions of existing work that pushes the boundaries of cultural conception, gender and sexual identity. We are dedicated to the reinvention of stories, and the creation of imaginative, visually mesmerizing theater that serves our community.

All events are at 8:00pm. Staged Readings are free of charge. May 20th Lab and Fundraiser party $20.
