Zambelli Fireworks to Light Up Int'l Competition With The Wizard of Oz

By:

Zambelli Fireworks, one of the oldest, largest and most recognized fireworks companies in the world, today announced it has been invited to participate at L'International des Feux Loto-Quebec-a world-class fireworks competition held in Montreal from June 25 to July 27, 2011.

Zambelli's performance, slated for Wednesday, July 20th in Quebec, will pay tribute to one of the great American film classics, The Wizard of Oz. The sparkling rendition promises to leave the audience breathless as they follow the yellow brick road into the night sky, then fly off with Dorothy to the Emerald City.

"We are extremely excited and proud to be a part of this world renowned competition," said George R. Zambelli, Jr. MD, Zambelli Chairman. "To be one of only eight global companies invited to one the most prestigious competitions of its kind in the world, and to be the sole representative for the United States, is an immense honor. It's like making the World Cup Finals of fireworks competitions."

One company from each of seven other countries were invited to compete at this year's event including China, Czech Republic, England, Italy, Australia, Canada and France.
The site is extremely large and offers Zambelli the opportunity to produce a display that will bring the wonders of Oz to the sky over Montreal with a truly unique combination of effects.

Zambelli participated in the inaugural competition in Montreal in 1985 where it won the Silver Jupiter Award.

About Zambelli Fireworks
Zambelli's history parallels the history of celebrations in the United States and can be traced back to 1893 when Antonio Zambelli arrived in America from Italy. He brought the heritage of shooting fireworks with him and from that beginning Zambelli has grown to be one of the world's best fireworks display companies. Through the stewardship of his late son, George Zambelli Sr., the dream has grown to include some of the most creative and innovative pyrotechnics in the world.

Even today, George's leadership serves as the foundation of tomorrow under the guidance of his son, George R. Zambelli, Jr. M.D., as Chairman. The name Zambelli speaks of a commitment to safety, quality, creativity, affordability, originality, and technology. For more information find us online at www.zambellifireworks.com.
