You Scream I Scream is at its core a three-piece band with distorted bass guitar and vocals, Rhodes and synth, along with floor tom-driven drums and big cymbals. The music’s unique fingerprint is part Talking Heads in its beats and the lyrics’ sometimes dark playfulness, with Floyd Kellogg’s vocal stylings—bariton signing and yelling contrasted with “Bitchy girl” backing vocals—and stripped-down instrumentation can be reminiscent of Morphine or Soul Coughing. “Bug in a Light,” the band’s debut album, led to several catchy music videos shot by Brendan “Spookie” daly in Hartford, CT and on Nantucket, landing spots on MuchMusic’s “The Wedge”, MTV, New York Noise and Billboard.com. When not busy designing and painting murals everywhere and recording/producing fellow bands at their studio in Connecticut, You Scream I Scream plays high-energy, loud, electro-grunge shows around New England and New York.

Berth Control is an American rock band from Brooklyn, New York. They just released a new EP—Only Songs—an album produced by Jack Dishel (Moldy Peaches guitarist). Alyson Greenfield experiments with pianos, guitars, atoharps, synthesizers, glockenspiels, chord organs, and beatboxers, and has been recognized by publications such as Paste, Relix, Beyond Race, The Deli, Beatcrave, and more.

A Great Big Pile of Leaves Record Release Show + Sainthood Reps + Young Statues

Brooklyn-based trio A Great Big Pile of Leaves originated in 2007 when guitarist/singer Peter Weiland and drummer Tyler Soucy took time from their prior projects to start writing material together. The first six songs came together as the self-released EP ‘The Fiery Works,’ which the duo put out as a free download on the band’s official website. As word spread online, the band’s fanbase grew – along with Weiland and Soucy’s excitement to get back to recording. Since then, they have released one full length album and several EPs. Their performance at the Knitting Factory will be in celebration of their newest release, ‘Making Moves’.

Sainthood Reps is comprised of Derrick Sherman of Brand New and Francesco Montesanto of Wee Hounds. Their sound has been described as “delicately atmospheric and progressive yet rather heady indie rock.” Full of swelling guitars, intricate vocal melodies, harmonies and introspective lyrics, Young Statues is evidence of a group of musicians who have honed their skills and made a record to be revered for its beauty, tact, and honesty.

Monsieur Adi (Adi Balbus, 22 August 1986) is a fashion design student turned electronic musician, remixer, and producer from Paris, France. With classical training in piano, violin, and voice, his sound is a clash of epic and cinematic orchestration with futuristic synths to create a unique soundscape yet to be matched. His work has been often compared to that of Daft Punk and Justice, both major influences on his work, and is also influenced by artists such as Bjork, Mirwais, Rob Dougan, baroque composer Vivaldi, and the film scorer John Williams. Monsieur Adi is a modern and dynamic musician and artist first, who is ever evolving and innovating in his own golden universe with the aim to move the hearts, minds, and feet of the listener with his elegant and emotional music. A star has been born.

DJ G. Brown’s unique style has earned him accolades both domestically and internationally, having rocked parties in more than 25 countries worldwide. Yet despite his world0renown name, G. Brown remains true to his roots as a New York DJ, tearing down dancefloors one set at a time…
