Will Ferrell's You're Welcome America. A Final Night with George W Bush, still in its first month of performances, has now recouped its original investment of $2.09 million according to the New York Times.
The show recently broken a Cort Theatre house record - taking in $846,507.05 for the week ending on February 15th. This breaks the previous house record set during the first week of previews, with an increase of almost $10,000.
Ferrell makes his Broadway debut in this show which will be directed by Adam McKay, Ferrell's longtime collaborator, and director of the comedy classics Anchorman, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, and this past summer's box office hit Step Brothers.
