Woolly Mammoth Hosts Tina Palmer Art Sale and Benefit Reception 12/1

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company hosts a special art sale and benefit reception with local artist Tina Palmer on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 6:30 - 9pm. This exclusive sale and reception features Tina Palmer's nationally-acclaimed original art, affordably priced. She will dedicate each painting purchased during the benefit and 30% of the proceeds from the art sales will be donated to Woolly Mammoth.

Delicious complimentary food and wines courtesy of Chateau O'Brien of Markham, VA will be passed throughout the evening. Hosts for the evening are Woolly Mammoth Board Members Lis Driscoll and Patricia Butler. Attire is business or cocktail chic.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Tina Palmer has been one of America's top-selling female painter's of originals the past eight years and was showcased in Art Business News' "Women in Art" special last year and will be profiled in Virginia Living magazine in January. Ten of her paintings are featured in the Trump World Center NYC model apartment and her work is in galleries across the U.S. and Hawaii. Her preferred medium is acrylic, typically applied to a plastered canvas and finished with a special glazing. Her evocative works have appeared annually at ArtExpo NYC since 2001.

Tina's recent work with Philippe Cousteau highlighted his nonprofit organization, Earth Echo International, and she also worked with Trish and LaVar Arrington to support the United Medical Center (formerly Greater Southeast Hospital) and its prenatal center.
