When Aunt Daphne Went Nude Enters Final Week Off-Bway

This is the final week for the Off Broadway limited engagement of "When Aunt Daphne Went Nude" by Miriam Jensen Hendrix, Off Broadway,* at the Mint Theatre Space, 311 West 43rd Street (5th Floor). Mirron Productions and Paul Lucas Productions present the black comedy, which is directed by Keith Oncale; with set & costume design by Gregory Tippit; and lighting design by Douglas Filomena. The cast includes Roy Bacon, Scott Ferrara, Tarah Flanagan, Patricia Hodges, J.C. Hoyt, Lucille Patton, Josh Shirley, and Jane Titus. Previews began October 13th for the limited Off Broadway engagement, which opened October 17th.

"When Aunt Daphne Went Nude": Dashing young Reginald just wants to impress his fiancée from America. Unfortunately, his mother doesn't approve of the engagement, his father's just polished off a fifth of scotch, and his eccentric Aunt Daphne doesn't want to keep her clothes on. And that's the GOOD news. A relaxing weekend in the country explodes into a tornado of scandal and surprise in this darkly comic tale of family, politics, and dirty little secrets.

Miriam Jensen Hendrix is the author of five novels, three screenplays and fifteen plays. Her play, The Shroud, premiered in 2002. Plays include Cakewalk, The Moor, Oedipus Redux, and The Rabbi Of Vilna. Her articles have appeared in various magazines and she has been a guest lecturer. She resides in Illinois.

Keith Oncale is the Founding Artistic Director of Actors Stock Company. Some of his NYC credits include Mind the Gap, Circus of Infinite Attractions , Cozi sa Wala as well as the premiere of Ring Lardner , Jr. and Dalton Trumbo's The Fishermen of Beaudrais. He has received three Dallas Critics Forum Awards and is the recipient of the Dallas Theater League Award for Outstanding Direction.

The final week of performances through November 14th are: Monday; Thursday; Friday & Saturday at 8:00 pm; with matinees at 2:00 pm on Saturday & Sunday. There will be special performances on Wednesday 11/10 with a 2:00 pm. matinee and at 8:00 pm. Tickets are: $30 except for Friday & Saturday at 8:00 pm $35.
