The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center's Nancy and Frederick DeMatteis Arts Education Program will host a free, on campus, Arts Education "Open (Fun!) House" for children and their families on Saturday, April 22 from 2pm – 4pm at the Center.
WHBPAC's Arts Education "Open (FUN!) House" provides the opportunity learn more about the Center's Performing Arts Camps, meet the Teaching Artists, talk to Student Ambassadors, and register for the program.
Youngsters and their families will get a chance to "pull back the curtain" as they are guided by Arts Education veteran teens through the beautiful theatre. Throughout the theatre there will be representatives from all of the Center's programs, spanning Broadway, Ballet, Voice and Theatre. Guests will have the opportunity to "drop in" and participate in instructor-led activities, talk to youngsters who have been part of our programs, and view past student performances on our big screen!
"We couldn't be more thrilled to throw the doors open and welcome children and their families into our 'house!'" says Julienne Penza, Managing Director of Arts Education. "There are so many performing arts opportunities for children and teens this summer and beyond, and we can't wait to help everyone find the perfect fit, all while having a giant party!"
The goal of the WHBPAC's Arts Education Program is to ensure that the arts play an integral role in the lives of both children and adults. WHBPAC Arts Education Programs currently provide an of offerings for children and their families year-round.
