According to her website, West End star Linzi Hateley is involved in the upcoming Les Miserables movie. She reveals on her homepage: "Linzi is currently involved in the new Movie Version of Les Mis more information to follow soon."

The Les Miserables musical screen adaptation is set for release on December 7, 2012 and stars Hugh Jackman as Valjean, Russell Crowe as Javert, Sacha Baron Cohen as Thernardier, Eddie Redmayne as Marius, Aaron Tveit as Enjolras, Anne Hathaway as Fantine, Amanda Seyfried as Cosette, Samantha Barks as Eponine and Helena Bonham Carter as Madame Thenardier. Tom Hopper helms.

When Mes Miserables celebrated its 21st London birthday on 8 October 2006, it became the World's Longest Running Musical, surpassing the record previously held by "Cats" in London's West End. In January 2010, the West End production broke another record by celebrating its historic 10,000th performance.

In 1988/89 Linzi appeared in the stage production of Les Miserables playing Eponine, the role that will be played in the movie by Samantha Barks.

As a child Hateley attended Italia Conti Academy. She appeared as one of the orphans in the stage musical Annie and on television in several episodes of the BBC children's series Grange Hill. Hateley's first starring role was as the title character in the ill-fated Carrie-The Musical in both its Stratford-Upon-Avon Broadway runs. She was 17 years old when she won the part.

In London, Hateley has starred in the original production of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as The Narrator (for which she was nominated for an Olivier Award), Nancy in Oliver!, Eponine in Les Misérables, Roxie Hart in Chicago, Martha in the original RSC production of The Secret Garden, Winifred Banks in the original production of Mary Poppins and most recently "Donna" in Mamma Mia!, at the Prince of Wales Theatre in the West End.

Hateley has released three solo albums: For The First Time, Sooner or Later, and True Colours.

In 2008 Hateley recorded a song for the CD Act One - Songs From The Musicals Of Alexander S. Bermange, an album of 20 brand new recordings by 26 West End stars, released in November 2008 on Dress Circle Records.

She can also be heard on the original cast recordings of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Mary Poppins.
