Wayside Theatre Announces Fall Open Call Auditions

Wayside Theater announces 2011 open call auditions FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN - Equity and Non-Equity.

Casting for Glory Bea! A Shenandoah Christmas Story, and remainder of Season, and future shows.

Audition Dates:
Monday, October 10, 2010 1:00 (M - 5:00 PM & 6:00 - 9:00 PM
Tuesday, October 11, 2010 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Saturday, October 15, 2010 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon
Sunday, October 17, 2010 10:00 AM - 12:00 noon & 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Call (540) 869-1776 to schedule your 5 minute audition slot from Monday-Friday 9-5 PM.

Audition Requirements

Adults: prepare one monologue and two - 16-bar s of any song, accompanist is provided. Sides from will be available. Audition appointments are five minutes. Actors may present as much material as they wish within that time period. If skilled in playing an instrument, bring instrument and prepare music to play (guitar, violin, etc).
Children prepared a 30-60 second monologue or poem (does not need to be memorized) and sing their favorite Christmas Carol a cappella or 32 bars of any song. An accompanist will be provided.
"Glory Bea! A Shenandoah Christmas Story" requires all age ranges of children and adults. The production runs from November 26 - December 24, 2011

Auditions will be held at Wayside Theatre, 7853 Main Street, Middletown, VA 22645

Wayside Theatre is the oldest professional theatre in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and is celebrating its 50th season of presenting high quality, professional entertainment.
