BroadwayWorld previously reported that according to Vanity Fair, 'Dancing with the Stars' vet and star of the 'Rock of Ages' movie Julianne Hough wants to star as Elphaba in the film version of 'WICKED.'
This soulful clip of Hough singing "The Wizard And I" at a free live concert hosted by Netflix for the 70th Anniversary of "The Wizard of Oz" in Central Park, New York, NY, on September 29, 2009, proves just how much she wants the role.
Julianne Hough made her feature film debut in "Burlesque", opposite Christina Aguilera and Cher. She has also released two country albums in the last few years. She recently starred opposite Kenny Worlmald in the film remake of 'Footloose.' 'Rock of Ages' will be released in theatres on June 1, 2012.
