Ashley Kate Adams (La Cage Aux Folles), with aka Studio Productions, will present a one night only NYMF Special Event Concert, Dawn Cantwell: WHERE IS SHE NOW: Dawn Cantwell & FRIENDS, tonight, July 21 at 8:30pm. The show will be directed by D.B. Bonds (associate director of Kinky Boots) with musical direction by Ryan Cantwell (La Cage Aux Folles).

After starring Off-Broadway in F#%king Up Everything (NYMF '10), NYMF's 2011 "Next Broadway Sensation" winner returns to NYMF with a one-night-only concert celebrating new musical theatre composers. NYMF alums Joe Iconis & Jeff Thompson are among the writers featured, in addition to Nick Blaemire. Performers are Dawn & her F#%king Up Everything castmates Jason Gotay (Bring It On), Geroge Salazar (Here Lies Love at the Public, Godspell) &Max Crumm (Grease), joined by Annaleigh Ashford (TONY nominee for Kinky Boots) & Nick Blaemire (Godspell, Glory Days).

Originally from LA, musician/actor Dawn Cantwell moved to NYC to attend Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She was the 2011 winner of the NYMF Next Broadway Sensation Award. She appeared in Dogfight (Second Stage), played the title role in Notes to Marianne (New York Theatre Workshop) & recently created the role of Ivy in F@#king Up Everything. Her film work includes Tilting at WindMills (Winner at IFFM), At That Moment (co-starring Wallach). Dawn's original music has been heard at Joe's Pub, Birdland & The Iridium. She recently released her debut EP, Big Steps Little Feet.
