The Feastival kicks off Wednesday at 6 p.m. with a radio exclusive recording of Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band's record breaking August 30th concert at the MetLife Stadium. The second day of the Feastival will include Sam Beam & Jesca Hoop (at Rockwood Music Hall), Nada Surf (at City Winery), The Head and the Heart (at City Winery), Michael Kiwanuka (at the Cutting Room), Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats (at the Newport Folk Festival), ShaRon Jones & The Dap-Kings (at the BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! On Friday, the Feastival continues from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with previous recordings of this year's Holiday Cheer for FUV artists (The Record Company, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lucinda Williams, and Amos Lee). The Feastival then resumes from 6 p.m. to midnight with performances by Mayer Hawthorne (at The Cutting Room), Margo Price (at the Newport Folk Festival ) and Conor Oberst (at the Housing Works Bookstore Cafe), among others.
"Live concerts on the radio is one of the things that sets FUV apart from other stations," said WFUV Program Director Rita Houston. "Our annual Feastival is like the Best of the Best from each year. This year's lineup on Thursday and Friday is pretty special, but to add Bruce Springsteen's historic set from MetLife Stadium as a bonus on Wednesday night is sure to make this an even more memorable holiday weekend for all."
