WFS Seeks Men For ANNE OF GREEN GABLES: The Musical
As we enter our 125th anniversary season, the Weston Friendly Society is looking for a few men to fill the following ensemble roles in our fall show, "Anne of Green Gables: The Musical."
Cecil, The Farmer (some solo vocal/speaking lines; choral singing) The Minister (some solo speaking lines; choral singing) The Stationmaster (some solo vocal lines; choral singing)
"Anne of Green Gables" recounts the poignant and funny story of Anne Shirley, the spunky, red-headed orphan who comes to Prince Edward Island hoping to find a happy home. This class story was adapted by Donald Harron from the novel by L. M. Montgomery, with music by Norman Campbell, and it is sure to be a hit with the entire family.
Direction is by Mary-Liz Murray, musical direction by Bethany Aiken, and choreography by Colleen Grady. Rehearsals are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7-10 PM and on Sundays from 2-6 PM. Performances are Saturday, November 28th at 2:00 & 8:00 PM, Sunday, November 29th at 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 5th at 2:00 & 8:00 PM, and Sunday, December 6th at 2:00 PM.
