Broadway composer Stephen Flaherty's IN YOUR ARMS just started up at The Old Globe and LITTLE DANCER recently ran at the Kennedy Center in D.C. He has also written the music for RAGTIME -- which earned him a Tony and a Drama Desk Award in 1998 -- and the Tony-nominated and Olivier-winning ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, as well as ROCKY THE MUSICAL, SEUSSICAL, LUCKY STIFF, DESSA ROSE, A MAN OF NO IMPORTANCE, MY FAVORITE YEAR, THE GLORIOUS ONES, LOVING REPEATING, MATTERS OF THE HEART, CHITA RIVERA: THE DANCER'S LIFE, CHEF'S THEATER: A MUSICAL FEAST and more. His longtime collaborator is Lynn Ahrens, with whom he also worked on the animated film ANASTASIA, which won two Golden Globe Awards and nabbed two Oscar nominations. The story is now being turned into a stage musical.
