And a Happy Birthday shout-out to Viola Davis, who turns 50 today!
Davis last starred on Broadway in FENCES, which earned her the 2010 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Play. Before that, she appeared in KING HEDLEY II and took home the 2001 Tony for Best Featured Actress. She made her Broadway debut in SEVEN GUITARS in 1996. Among her off-Broadway credits are INTIMATE APPAREL, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, EVERYBODY'S RUBY, PERICLES and GOD'S HEART. Davis was nominated for an Oscar for her role as 'Mrs. Miller' in the film adaptation of DOUBT and for playing 'Aibileen Clark' in THE HELP. She currently stars as 'Annalise Keating' in HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER, recently appeared on the big screen in GET ON UP, and has SUICIDE SQUAD in the queue.
