Martin, best known for playing 'Tom Collins' in the original Broadway and West End productions and 2005 film adaptation of RENT, last starred on the Great White Way in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE. Among his other Broadway credits are THE GOVERNMENT INSPECTOR and TIMON OF ATHENS. He has also appeared off-Broadway in THE WINTER'S TALE at Shakespeare in the Park and in THE ARABIAN NIGHTS, as well as THE THREEPENNY OPERA at Williamstown Theatre Festival. Martin plays 'Detective Joe West' on TV in THE FLASH and before that, 'Detective Ed Green' on LAW & ORDER, with a recurring role as 'Scott Nichols', artistic director of the Manhattan Theatre Workshop, in NBC's SMASH.
