McKechnie last acted as standby for Chita Rivera in Broadway's THE VISIT. Before that, she starred on the Great White Way in STATE FAIR, COMPANY, A CHORUS LINE - for which she won the 1976 Tony Award for her portrayal of 'Cassie' - ON THE TOWN, PROMISES, PROMISES, THE EDUCATION OF H*Y*M*A*N*K*A*P*L*A*N and HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING. Among her off-Broadway credits are LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE, SINGULAR SENSATIONS, BABES IN ARMS, FIORELLO! at Encores!, ANNIE WARBUCKS, CUT THE RIBBONS and WINE UNTOUCHED, as well as the US touring productions of SWEET CHARITY, A CHORUS LINE, COMPANY and A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM. The actress also took the West End stage in FOLLIES and CAN-CAN. She most recently appeared in the world premiere production of IN YOUR ARMS at The Old Globe in San Diego.
