And a Happy Birthday shout-out to Tim Minchin, who hits the big 4-0 today!
Minchin, best known in the theatre world for writing the music and lyrics for the Olivier- and Tony-winning musical adaptation of Roald Dahl's MATILDA, started his career as a musical comedy performer throughout Australia, the UK and the U.S. Among his live albums are DARKSIDE, SO ROCK, READY FOR THIS?, LIVE AT THE O2, TIM MINCHIN AND THE HERITAGE ORCHESTRA and SO f-ing ROCK. He also starred in the UK arena tour of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and as 'Atticus Fetch' on Showtime's CALIFORNICATION. He received an honorary Doctor of Letters from UWA in 2013 for his contribution to the arts. Minchin is currently developing the upcoming GROUNDHOG DAY musical.
