Voting has opened for the 2016 BroadwayWorld Houston Regional Awards, honoring productions which opened between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016. Nominations were completely reader-submitted and after the nomination period ended October 31, BroadwayWorld's local editors proofed the list for eligibility and errors. Voting will run through December 31. Winners will be announced in early January!

Update November 18, 2016: We are currently reviewing nominations for the 2016 BroadwayWorld Houston Awards. Revised nominations will be released early next week. If you have already cast your vote, don't worry -- we will allow you to send in a revised ballot! Voting will recommence next week.
Update November 23, 2016: After further review, we have removed one nominee from the Best Sound Design (Play or Musical) category because the production did not meet the eligibility requirements and added one nominee to the Best Supporting Actress (Musical) to correct an administrative error. Please note that all nominations are purely reader-submitted, recognizing productions that opened between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016. We open the nomination period in early October and run for the entire month. After that, local writers proof for eligibility and errors, then we launch voting in November and run through the end of the year. Winners are announced in early January and are given an awards certificate.
