Vatican Premiered New Musical About Mary

According to the Catholic News Service, the Vatican is supporting a new musical that chronicles the life of Mary. It will held the Italian show's premiere in the Paul VI starting June 17th.

The musical is titled Mary of Nazareth: The Story That Continues and includes 40 plus actors, 12 dancers, and a 60 piece of orchestra to bring the story "about the most important woman in the history of the world" to life.

Cardinal Claudio Celli told Catholic News, "In a world that has lost so many values, people are still "nostalgic" and looking for sense and meaning in their lives. This show reminds people that Mary is a woman of our times who once again presents (and) communicates Christ the lord to mankind today. And that is why with pleasure the pontifical council was pleased to see this show and with pleasure gives its sponsorship."
