VTA Presents September Mid-Day Arts Cafe 9/20

Victoria Theatre Association presents the first of eight Mid-Day Arts Café lunches Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in the Mathile Theatre located in the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. September's Mid- Day Arts Café offers an up close and personal look at the many shows presented by Victoria Theatre Association for the 2011-2012 season.

This hour of entertainment and delicious food features a preview of VTA's upcoming shows such as The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, Traces, Jersey Boys and Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical. Wright State University Vocal Instructor Jamie Cordes and local actress and Wright State University student Maddie Castro will be performing select songs from The New Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein, Tenderly: The Rosemary Clooney Musical and Jersey Boys. VTA's Vice President of Programming, Tina McPhearson, will give first hand insight into what it takes to assemble the 2011-2012 Miami Valley & Good Samaritan Hospitals Broadway Series and answer any questions during a Q & A session after the performances.

Mid-Day Arts Café is a series presented by Victoria Theatre Association offering a variety of performances from locAl Dayton arts groups. In cooperation with the Dayton Opera, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, The Muse Machine, Dayton Ballet, Zoot Theatre Company, FilmDayton, and Human Race Theatre Company, Mid-Day Arts Café offers the chance to network with area arts lovers, view sneak peaks of upcoming performances, and enjoy the opportunity to get out of the office for an enjoyable lunch time!

Tickets for the Mid-Day Arts Café include a delicious box lunch from Citilites Restaurant & Bar.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with the event starting promptly at noon in order to conclude by 1 p.m. For more information on the 2011-2012 season, please contact Victoria Theatre Association directly.
