Walt Disney World's newest attraction, "Frozen Ever After," drew big crowds at today's opening and is bound to help keep visitors' minds off the heat this summer.
Inspired by the Oscar-winning Disney animated feature, "Frozen Ever After" is located in a reconstructed version of Epcot's Norway Pavilion's Maelstrom boat ride, which closed in October 2014 to make way for the new family fun experience.
"Frozen Ever After" features all new special effects and animatronic figures. Riders arrive in Arendelle in time for the Winter Festival and enjoy encounters with Anna, Kristoff, Sven, Olaf and Queen Elsa in her ice palace.
Fans can also pay a visit to the Hollywood Studios "Frozen Sing-Along Celebration," modeled after the version that's been playing at Disneyland since May.

Other "Frozen" attractions offered by Disney include an upcoming shipboard show offered by Disney Cruise Lines, directed by Sheryl Kaller, whose Broadway credits include MOTHERS AND SONS and NEXT FALL and choreographed by Josh Prince (BEAUTIFUL, SHREK).
The recently-opened "Frozen - Live at the Hyperion" at Anaheim's Disneyland Resort, plays up to five performances a day. More than 100 actors, dancers and puppeteers are involved. The open-ended run is directed Liesl Tommy, a Tony nominee for ECLIPSED.
And of course, a Broadway-bound production, directed by Alex Timbers, has completed a developmental lab and is scheduled to arrive in New York in the spring of 2018 after a run at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in August 2017.
