Last Saturday, Tony Award winner Lena Hall (HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH) guest starred in a new episode of the animated series MY LITTLE PONY FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC. She voiced the role of Countess Coloratura, an old friend of Applejack's who has become a huge pop star and now has a manager that Applejack fears doesn't have her best interest at heart. In 2015 Lena Hall completed her critically acclaimed run starring as Yitzhak in the hit Broadway revival of Hedwig and the Angry Inch. For the role she was awarded the 2014 Tony Award for Featured Actress in a Musical and was nominated for a Grammy. Prior to Hedwig, she starred as Nicola in the Tony Award winning musical Kinky Boots.

Previous Broadway and Off-Broadway roles include starring in the award-winning Toxic Avenger at New World Stages, Tarzan (Original Cast), Dracula (Original Cast), 42nd St (Anytime Annie), Cats (Demeter), Beg Bugs (NYMF) and Green Eyes (Fringe). TV and film roles include upcoming guest roles on HBO's Girls, Good Girls REVOLT (Amazon Prime), and My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. In 2015 her solo musical show Sin & Salvation ran for 2 weeks at the legendary Carlyle Hotel, which was recorded for her debut live album released on September 28th, 2015.

When not on the Broadway stage, Lena performs with her hard rock band The Deafening.
