Former NYC mayor Rudy Guiliani appeared on today's edition of MEET THE PRESS, warning the Obama administration that they are "well advised to get a lot more proactive." For Guiliani's segment, as well the roundtable discussion on Syria, check out the video.

EXCERPT:

Rudy Giuliani: I think that, since the capture of bin Laden, there's been a kind of sense that al-Qaeda's on the run, the threat is less. The threat isn't less. The threat is actually more diverse now, and maybe even more complex. ... So whether they didn't catch it fast enough, whether this is a product of, you know, leading from behind, like I think happened in Syria, where a lot of action could have been taken a year ago that may have precluded this. But the president kind of prefers to watch these things play out before he makes a decision. I think they'd be well advised to get a lot more proactive now, because things are really heating up.

Today's "Meet the Press with David Gregory" featured a conversation with Judiciary Committee Chairman Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT), former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, former Rep. Jane Harman (D-CA), and Rep. Tom Cotton (R-AR); a political roundtable with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, former Democratic Congressman Harold Ford, Jr., National Review editor Rich Lowry, and MSNBC contributor and Miami Herald political columnist Joy-Ann Reid; and a discussion about the impact of Jason Collins coming out with former Baltimore Ravens All-Pro linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo.
