Liev Schreiber, soon to be seen on Broadway opposite Janet McTeer in the Donmar Warehouse production of Christopher Hampton's Les Liaisons Dangereuses, is no stranger to Shakespeare's HAMLET, having played the vengeful Prince of Denmark at The Public Theater in 1999. The next year he was seen as Laertes opposite Ethan Hawke in a contemporary film adaptation.

But Ray Donovan, the character Schreiber plays in the hit Showtime series, "Ray Donovan"? That's another story. As reported by BroadwayWorld, "Ray Donovan" premiered its 4th season on June 26th, on-air, on demand and over the Internet. The consummate stage and screen actor plays the South Boston-born "fixer" for a high-powered Los Angeles law firm, making the city's celebrities, superstar athletes and business moguls' most complicated and combustible situations go away.

Perhaps Donovan learned a thing or two about acting from one of his celebrity clients. Here is Liev Schreiber for W Magazine, auditioning for HAMLET as his TV character.

Tony Award winners Janet McTeer and Liev Schreiber will be joined by Tony Award nominee Mary Beth Peil in the Donmar Warehouse production of Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Christopher Hampton, directed by the Donmar's Artistic Director Josie Rourke.

In 1782, Choderlos de Laclos' novel of sex, intrigue and BETRAYAL in pre-revolutionary France scandalized the world. Two hundred years later, in 1985, Christopher Hampton's stage adaptation became an award-winning sensation in London's West End and on Broadway, followed by the Academy Award-winning film Dangerous Liaisons starring Glenn Close, John Malkovich and Michelle Pfeiffer. Josie Rourke's acclaimed production transfers to Broadway after a sold-out engagement at London's Donmar Warehouse which ended earlier this year and starred Janet McTeer. The production received two Olivier Award nominations for Best Revival and Best Actress for Ms. McTeer.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses will be produced on Broadway by Arielle Tepper Madover.
