Earlier this month, song and dance man Hugh Jackman was scheduled to take the stage in Istanbul for his new one-man show, titled An Evening With Hugh Jackman. Much to the disappointment of his fans, and Jackman himself, the 46-year-old was forced to cancel the performances due to a vocal haemorrhage on his left cord, rendering him unable to sing.
Jackman earned a Tony Award for his Broadway debut in "The Boy From Oz" in 2004, the same year he first hosted the Tony ceremony. The international movie star returned to Broadway in the 2009 hit "A Steady Rain' opposite Daniel Craig, followed by the solo concert "Hugh Jackman, Back on Broadway' in 2011. In 2012, he played the role of 'Jean Valjean' in the musical movie "LES MISERABLES." He most recenlty appeared on Broadway in THE RIVER.
