Below, watch an exclusive scene from the upcoming SHERLOCK Holiday Special, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Martin Freeman and Una Stubbs, coming soon to MASTERPIECE on PBS.

In an interview with UK's Express, the series creator Steven Moffat shared some details about the upcoming special: "The first few days we were just so excited because we saw our show with Benedict and Martin in the proper gear and his extraordinary sideburns and you think 'why didn't we always do this? Why did we make that silly mistake of updating it?'" Moffatt said. "But by the end we slightly missed the modern iteration. Maybe we'll just alternate them all. Mark [Gatiss] and I think we should do the 1940's propaganda German version."

Co-created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, SHERLOCK follows SHERLOCK Holmes and Dr. John Watson's adventures in 21st Century London in "a thrilling, funny, fast-paced contemporary reimagining of the ARTHURCONAN Doyle classic". Rupert Graves also plays Inspector Lestrade.

The Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated "Sherlock" has been a television sensation since the first season aired in 2010.
