"Islands in the Desert" Concert Features Traditional Music & Dance from Samoa, Tonga, Tahiti, Hawaii and New Zealand
WHAT: "Islands in the Desert" is a colorful and exciting program featuring Pacific Islander music and dance by local Utah artists carrying on their family and island legacies.

With Ko Ngati Hiona you'll witness delightful action songs, the beautiful and skillful twirling Poi dance and the Haka, a thunderous war dance. The group is pleased to share these ancient songs and dances of welcome from the Land of the Long White Cloud, New Zealand.Tagaloa Polynesian Dance Troupe consists of over 70 performers, including dancers and musicians. Providing the best in live Polynesian music and dance entertainment, Tagaloa invites you to enjoy the harmonious vocals of Samoa and the soothing sounds of the Hawaiian ukulele while becoming mesmerized by the live drumming and hip swaying of Tahiti.
