The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Foundation and Chris Isaacson Presents continue their smash season in Upright Cabaret's American Icon Series with RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT tonight, May 5, 2012 at 8:00pm at the new Cabaret Lounge in the Scherr Forum Theatre.  

Favorite stars from American Idol to Broadway sing the number one hits of our American music icons against a backdrop of dazzling multi-media and an ambience of great fun.  Rhythm of the Night celebrates the music of Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan and Santana.  Audiences can expect to hear favorites like "Livin' La Vida Loca", "Shake Your Bon-Bon", "Rhythm Is Gonna Get You", "Black Magic Woman" and more.

Rhythm of the Night stars Lexi Lawson (Broadway: Rent, In The Heights), Olivier Award-winner Lesli Margherita (West End: Zorro) and more, with special guest American Idol's David Hernandez!

On tour across the southland, Upright Cabaret's American Icon Series also performs in Hollywood, La Mirada and Palm Springs, CA. Creator/founder Chris Isaacson has created, produced and promoted over 450 events since forming his company in 2004. From small clubs to major theatres, Isaacson has produced some of the most influential stars of his generation including Adam Lambert (American Idol), Lea Michele (Glee, Spring Awakening), Neil Patrick Harris (CBSs How I Met Your Mother), Grammy® Award-nominee Natasha Bedingfield, 3x Grammy® Nominee Taylor Dayne, Grammy-winner Paula Cole and more. Isaacson is also creator/founder of LAs renowned Upright Cabaret which has been redefining the cabaret milieu for a new generation of audiences in Los Angeles since 2005. Upright Cabaret seeks to celebrate old style cabaret while simultaneously turning it on its ear, bringing young Broadway and young Hollywood together in a live setting.
