Updated Hansel and Gretel Audition Notice!
Village Players Theater for Youth seeks singer/actors with strong operatic vocal technique and dancer/singers with strong lyrical/ballet training for its 5th annual production of Humperdinck’s opera Hansel and Gretel. Roles sought are:
Hansel – Mezzo sopranoGretel - Soprano
Mother – Mezzo soprano
Father - Baritone
Sandman/Dew Fairy - soprano
12 singer/dancers with strong movement training to play Goblins, Angels and Children (sopranos/altos) All auditioning should prepare 1 song or aria, (a capella) preferably from the score. dancer/singers will also be asked to perform a dance audition. Audition appointments are being taken now for Wednesday, November 12 from 6-9 pm. All lead roles are paid and include a travel stipend. Chorus roles offer the travel stipend only.
