The Hartt School Choruses, New Haven Chorale, Hartford Chorale, and Hartford Symphony Orchestra Present Messa da Requiem by Giuseppe Verdi
The Hartt School Choruses, New Haven Chorale, Hartford Chorale, and Hartford Symphony Orchestra join forces under the baton of Hartt faculty member Edward Bolkovac in a performance of Verdi’s powerful Requiem on Friday, March 16, at 8:00 PM. This gala performance, sponsored by the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, is presented in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Cathedral. Soloists include Hartt alumnus, Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Winner, and artist in the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program Ryan Speedo Green, bass; Amanda Hall, soprano; Lucille Beer, mezzo; Raffaele Sepe, tenor. Hear more than 500 musicians perform in this inspired venue in what will be one of the highlights of the Hartford concert season. A suggested donation of $20 is requested at the door.
