Broadway has been celebrating Friday's Supreme Court ruling in favor of gay marriage ever since the official announcement, and where better to celebrate than a musical about a wedding?

IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU's Tyne Daly shared a few celebratory words after last night's performance, relating the ruling to her own life.

"Oh my God, I haven't made a curtain speech since Gypsy," said the Tony and Emmy winner. "Our director, David Hyde Pearce called me today and asked me to say something tonight. You know, I married a man with black skin forty years ago, tonight, in a country where it was illegal in most states and I can't tell you how proud I am of my country this day."

Daly, Tony Award winner Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess and Lisa Howard head an outstanding cast in It Shoulda Been You, the hilarious and heartwarming new musical comedy that proves when it comes to wedding day insanity, everything is relative. It Shoulda Been You, which had a sold-out premiere at New Jersey's George Street Playhouse, officially opened earlier this month at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

It Shoulda Been You, a new musical comedy directed by David Hyde Pierce in his Broadway directorial debut, features an original book & lyrics by Brian Hargrove and music by Barbara Anselmi. It Shoulda Been You puts a refreshingly modern spin on the traditional wedding comedy, proving that when it comes to wedding day insanity, it's all relative.

In the hilarious and heartwarming new musical It Shoulda Been You, it's a culture clash for the ages when two families from wildly different backgrounds come together to celebrate a wedding. As if the union wasn't complicated enough, the bride's ex-boyfriend arrives, bringing the wedding to a screeching halt and throwing both families into hysterical chaos. Plots are hatched, promises broken, secrets exposed - and the bride's resourceful sister is left to turn an unmitigated disaster into happily ever after.
