Tuc Waktins to Replace Scott Patterson in WHITE'S LIES

It was recently announced that the production of WHITE'S LIES, originally scheduled to begin off-Broadway previews March 22nd, will be postponed until April 12th, with an official opening night of May 6th. The production was been delayed due to scheduling conflicts of one of the performers.

It's now been announced that Desperate Housewives star, Tuc Watkins has joined the cast of the show. Watkins started his career with guest appearances on various television series including Sisters (three episodes from 1991 to 1992), Baywatch ("Game of Chance," 1992), and Melrose Place ("Single White Sister," 1993). He portrayed con-man David Vickers on the ABC soap opera One Life to Live from 1994 to 1996, next joining the soap opera General Hospital in the recurring role of Dr. Pierce Dorman from 1996 to 1997. Watkins went on to star as Malcolm Laffley on the Showtime series Beggars and Choosers for its two-season run from 1999 to 2001. In 1999 he made his film debut in The Mummy, later guest-starring on TV series such as NYPD Blue ("The Irvin Files," 2000), Six Feet Under ("Out, Out, Brief Candle," 2002), and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation ("Cats in the Cradle...," 2002). After brief appearances in 2001 and 2002, Watkins rejoined the cast of One Life to Live full time from 2003 through 2006, with several short term returns to the show in 2007, 2008, and 2009. On October 21, 2007, Watkins made his first appearance on ABC's prime time series Desperate Housewives as Bob Hunter, a new resident of Wisteria Lane who is a gay lawyer with a husband.

WHITE'S LIES stars Betty Buckley as Mrs. White. The new is comedy scripted by Ben Andron and directed by Bob Cline.

The Tony Award-winning actress will star alongside Peter Scolari, Christy Carlson Romano, Rena Strober & Jimmy Ray Bennett. WHITE'S LIES will mark Ms. Buckley's first appearance on the New York stage in seven years.

Betty Buckley made her Broadway debut in 1969 in 1776 & has been called the "Voice of Broadway" ever since, her rendition of "Memory" in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, solidifying that reputation. She followed with other Broadway roles in The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Song & Dance, Sunset Boulevard (NY & London) & Triumph of Love, for which she received a Tony nomination. She is well known to TV audiences for her role in "Eight is Enough" & to film goers as Carrie's gym teacher in Carrie & in the role of a country singer in Tender Mercies with Robert Duvall. She also appeared in Woody Allen's Another Woman & Roman Polanski's Frantic. Buckley has also guest-starred on "Without A Trace," "Law & Order: SVU," "Monk" & on the Christmas special of "Remember Wenn" singing "You Make it Christmas," as well as spending three seasons on HBO's "Oz." In 2008, she appeared in M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening opposite Mark Wahlberg & Zooey Deschanel. She recently completed a role in the HBO series "The Pacific," produced by Steven Spielberg & Tom Hanks, which will air this year.

Some guys are scared stiff at the prospect of settling down, getting married, having kids & Joe White is no exception. He's a divorce lawyer, representing one of his many ex-girlfriends & above all else, he's a bachelor who wouldn't have it any other way. So when his mother desperately wants him to start a family, he'll do the next best thing: make one up! What could go wrong? Only love, in the outrageous new comedy White's Lies.

Tickets for WHITE'S LIES range in price from $60 to $75. Tickets may be purchased online at www.whitesliesonstage.com or by calling the New World Stages box office at 212-239-6200.
